Personality|| Contrary to his appearance, Basu is actually an incredibly shy Naga. He usually watches people from afar and observe them, usually when he’s discovered he’ll attempt to make a hasty retreat back to his den. He enjoys talking to his fellow Naga’s and monsters alike but tends to avoid confronting with Humans when possible. They fascinate him greatly and he has always hoped to become friends with them, however there are still many faint scars and marks all over his body from attempts of befriending that went horribly wrong, usually they would think of him as a monster and attack him and try to skin him to display as a trophy.

History||Basu spent many years traveling living nearby solitary villages in India, preferring the peace and quiet of the isolated little villages to the noisy and busy city centers. He would live on the outskirts of the villages and always by a river or any water source, where he would watch the children play or listen to the idle chatter of the women who washed their clothes there. For every single village he went to he would try to help as much as he possibly could. He’d leave scales in the home of those who were sick or searched for as much food or water as he could for when there was a drought and leave it at the gates of the village in hope that maybe the humans will come to accept him.
However it isn’t very effective, many people of the villages still believe that he’s a monster who had caused their very and he is forced to flee to the next village when they attempt to hunt him down. Several occasions he had almost been caught and skinned alive but he always made it. Basu had to find yet another den to call his own and restart all his efforts yet again. Occasionally he would have success with the people of the villages. He once met a small girl who had wandered far too deep into the jungle and gotten lost. Basu picked her up despite her shrieks and wails, eventually calming down as he would hiss gentle streams of “It will be alright” and “we’ll get you back home” while carrying her. Afterwards when she had found herself at the edges of the village she said to him,“Thank you” as she was set down, before she undid the clasp of her necklace to give to Basu as a reward and ran back home. Its string was far too small as it was a child’s necklace for him to wear and a Naga like himself found no need for shiny baubles, but he kept it. It was the very first gift he has ever received from a human and he still keeps it in the folds of his turban as a good luck charm.
After that occurrence sometimes he would find a small pile of fish or fruits and nuts waiting for him by the river close to the village, he had made his first friend. Sometimes he would leave flowers where he found the food, and usually by the next day the flowers would be gone and be replaced yet again with more food.He refused to leave the village after that and spent many years watching the girl, he saw her grow up into a woman, he saw her find a husband , and soon following that children who would always grab at her dress trying to get her to follow them everywhere. He saw her children grow up and she grew old, and he saw her pass away peacefully in her little hut long after all her children had moved out and her husband had passed away also. After that he finally left the rural areas of India and the calm quiet of the village for the city. He snuck in through the gates in his snake form and soon discovered how different everything was from his humble style of life.So greatly dazed was he by the new change of surroundings that he was lost, wandering through and through the gigantic areas, trying to figure out where to go until he decided to sneak into shipping crates, not caring where he went but just on the fact that he would go somewhere.
Basu spent several centuries after that slowly travelling. From India to Kazakhstan to Russia and so on until he ended up in Norway and snuck onto a ship that brought him to Toradh. He enjoyed the land as it reminded him of his old home, and the land was full of creatures just like him. He had met another Naga every now and then but never has he seen so many in one place along with faeries and selkies and everything else imaginable. Even the Naga king lived here. Concluding his evaluation of the town, he decided that he wanted to start again here. He soon found himself a small and nearly deserted lake, and a little den nearby which he made his home.

Miscellaneous||
-Can speak English, Hindi, and some Gaelic
-As a snake he can spread out his neck to intimidate others much like a cobra. However it’s not as drastic as that
-Likes to stay by water and can often be seen near the harbor or river
-If swimming/kiddie pools are left unattended, you may find him trying to squeeze in and hide there in the water
